Prism and Terrain
Ridge has two views of the same Coinbase market. Prism and Terrain. The switch sits at the top of the screen. Both are a read of where price has traded, not a forecast.
Prism is the candlestick field. Time runs through the chart, price is vertical, and traded volume extrudes into depth, so a candle with more volume reaches farther back. The volume profile stands on the older side: that is where trades clustered. Order-book walls stand on the live side, next to the candle that is still printing. Liquidation spikes at that same live edge are forced closes from the derivatives market, not Coinbase spot trades. Drag to orbit on desktop. Scroll to zoom. On a phone, one finger pans.
Layers turn pieces on and off: the volume profile, a fainter longer window behind it, book walls, liquidations, volume depth, buy/sell color, and decay. INFO draws leader lines: Candles (“Price over time”), Live price (“The latest trade”), Volume (“Where trades clustered”), Order book (“Resting bids and asks”), Liquidations (“Forced closes”).
Terrain lays the volume profile down as a landscape. Height is how much traded. The point of control is traced in gold. The value area is shaded, and thin zones are shaded apart from it. The Market Read says whether price is on the busiest level, on thin ground, or above or below the crowd.
The camera buttons are 3D (the default view), Top (a top-down heatmap), and Side (a side-on profile). The timeline under the chart replays about the last hour. Drag back, or play a stretch forward. The card’s info mark says the same thing the chart is for: a read-only market view that describes where the coin has traded, not a forecast.
